Halibut fishing is HOT! The big ones are coming aboard !!
Gary Nordeen boated one that pulled the scales down to 110 pounds !
That fish was topped by the guys on Dan Sprouski's boat "Jackhammer"
--- Pat schultz boated a slab that weighed 127 1/2 pounds and
Dennis Bear land a 77 pounder ! Blue Dot was the key spot for these
slabs.

The weather is perfect.... a light breeze.... calm water..... slight overcast,
but mostly sunny .... wonderful fishing weather, that's for certain.

Rockfish are slamming rubber jigs fished along the kelp patches.... and the
lingcod fishing is excellent.

Big Salmon Resort has charter space ---- and we have moorage space for those

Halibut fishing & catching remains good to excellent. The biggest one that we've
seen so far weighed 78 lbs. We've also seen several large fish in the 50+ Lb class.
The weather is favorable & the tides are good. Lots of Rockfish are coming from the
kelp beds and the area near Seal & Sail rocks continues to yield nice Lingcod.

Canadian Halibut trips are also available. And we are taking reservations for the
up-coming salmon season.

There have been average to better than average catches of Halibut from the traditional spots such
as Swiftsure Bank, "72 Square", Blue Dot etc. Recent landings included Halibut to 78 LBs...
with several fish in the 50 pound class. Fishers working Blue Dot did better than those
trying the so-called "Halibut Hot Spot" or "C" area. Success has been reported from
those anglers fishing off the Garbage Dump. At least one very large Halibut was reported
from that area.

Ling Cod continue to be landed near Seal and Sail Rocks..... Rock Fish are quite plentifull ....
with many anglers returning with limits. Casting lead-headed rubber jigs into the
edges of the kelp patches have yielded the best results. Lings to 22 lbs have been boated
easily.

The tides look favorable for good angling this week. Call us at our toll free number
for an up to the minute report...... 1-866-787-1900.
