12/29/2002 Entry: "September 10th, 2002"
I'm sure you've all heard by now that this years record fall run of salmon will be anywhere from 650,000 to 750,000 coming up the Columbia River. Tules, which are 50% of the run, and Upriver Brights counts have been extraordinary, the past few weeks, counts have been from around 9'000 to 25'000 per day coming over Bonneville Dam. The fish catch reports for the Priest/Rapids Hanford Reach areas have been slow, but I expect the fishing to pick up considerably by the third week of September. I'll be doing some scouting this week and next week to dial in on this years upriver brights. We should have some excellent fishing this fall for these upriver brights and we should see some heavyweights in our catch. I still have a few prime dates available so don't hesitate to give us a call to reserve a day on the water. Most likely you'll not be able to reach me at home so please feel free to contact me on my cell phone @ (509)830-0952.
See you on the water.............Dave
