12/29/2002 Entry: "FISHING REPORT: December 3, 2002"
We've finally wrapped up our fishing season for the year, with limits of Coho at the mouth of the Klickitat River, on Nov. 30th. We're planning on taking the winter off and starting up again in March of 2003. I want to take this opportunity to say "THANK YOU" to our new and repeat customers for supporting us during this extremely successful fishing season.
With the help of this past years outstanding fish runs up the Columbia River, this has been the best year so far for us, with plenty of limits taken. We were extremely successful during the Spring Chinook season on the Mid-Columbia (Drano Lake and Wind River), Summer Steelhead and especially the Fall Chinook, with our best day of boating 18 Upriver Brights (Hanford Reach/Priest Rapids area) in one outing from 22 to 45lbs. Of course we had our slow days but still managed to boat a fish or two
Next year, I hear rumors of another big run of Springers and Cohos, and if that transpires, it should be another exciting year for all of us and hopefully you can come out and book a trip with us. We are already booking trips for the next Spring Chinook season so hurry and let us know if you're interested. We are also seriously thinking about expanding and acquiring an Oregon Guide License to be able to guide the Buoy 10 area, will see how this is going to work.
During the next few months, I will be fun fishing with family and friends for summer steelhead that stack up below John Day Dam and will try to keep you posted on a new fishing forum that will be online at www.usa10.com/2003 Happy Holidays and remember to take a kid fishing.....................Dave
