BOOKING NOW SPRING CHINOOK ON THE COLUMBIA RIVER, WIND RIVER AND DRANO LAKE AREAS!!!!

HI EVERYBODY!!!!

I think I better take the time to update my fishing report page....it has been awhile.
I pretty much had taken the winter off from fishing but now I am getting excited to see that there is talk of a very good spring chinook run this year. There will be some new rules this year on the Columbia River this spring so I will give you a quick run down........
Washington and Oregon adopted spring chinook fishing regulations for 2005 on the mainstem of the Columbia. These changes reduce the number of open days per week and the daily bag limit in th high catch area just downstream of Bonneville Dam. Sport fisherman may keep only fin-clipped spring chinook which has been the norm on the Columbia for the past several years. The big change for 2005 is allowing fishing just three days a week between Rooster Rock and Bonneville Dam and with only a one fish limit. Spring Chinook stack up downstream of bonneville Dam and the fishing can be awesome!!! If additional reductions are needed to slow the sport catch this spring, the plan calls for more restrictions between Rooster Rock and Bonneville initially, then reducing the number of days per week Downstream of Rooster Rock. The whole idea for these restrictions is to try and have the fishing oppurtunity open longer downstream of Bonneville Dam for spring chinook.

OCEAN TO I-5: Open Daily with a two fish bag limit.
I-5 TO ROOSTER ROCK: Open Daily beginning March 16th with a two fish limit
ROOSTER ROCK TO BONNEVILLE DAM: Open Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays beginning March 16th with a one chinook limit.
BONNEVILLE DAM TO TOWER ISLAND POWER LINES: Open Daily beginning March 16th only off the Oregon shore, with a two fish limit. No boat fishing allowed
TOWER ISLAND POWER LINES TO MCNARY DAM: Open daily beginning March 16th, with a two fish limit.

A strong run of about 413,400 spring chinook will begin entering the Columbia, this number includes 254,100 chinook headed for the upper Columbia and Snake rivers, so we will again this year expereince another good year for springer fishing.......
With the restricted days of fishing below Bonneville, the days that this fishery is closed, we will be fishing either at the Wind River or Drano Lake, these areas are one of my favorite places to fish....We have had some very good fishing days there in the past....These areas should provide some excellent fishng again this year.
We are booking now for this fishery so plan early for we have limited availability......Hope to hear from you!!
