April 1, 2008: Cold, sun shiny day. Today Steve Fletcher, 503-807-7644, yesterday's three time Master Angler, Alex Hattenhauer (one of last year's Master Anglers), 541-980-8643, from The Dalles, and Steve Shaffer of Condon went fishing. It was 17 in Fossil at 4:30 AM, 17 at the river, and the water was 38 degrees, flowing 2200 CFS, 4-5 clarity, and very very clear. No fish by lunchtime, but had a couple on briefly. The air temp was up to 54 after lunch and the water was a cool 40, Alex lead the way with a Trophy 18" fish, and Steve Flectcher followed with another 18" fish, and we ended up with 4 for the day. What a difference from yesterday. The work for the day-HUMBLE.
