Predator Hunts: Feb 23rd, Scott Haugen Joined Justin to shoot a Ground squirrel video. Shay Mann from SMP productions, filmed this and will be putting it together. We had a great day of shooting, the squirrels are out on the snow. It was only about 32 Degrees and the wind blew about 30 mph. Not very good conditions for the rats but we did get some pretty good footage. The videos should be ready for sale around the 10th of March. Scott and Justin believe this is the only video of ground squirrels on the snow. You can pre order them by email: diamond_aguides@yahoo.com or phone at (541)573-6080. We are booking between 8-13 days of ground squirrel shooting p/day so you better hurry and call today to book your spot. We look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Justin & Nikki Aamodt

Predator Hunts: Feb. 18th & 19th. Justin took Bill Munson on a bobcat hunt. With the snow melting getting around has become very difficult. I called in a few coyotes but Bill passed on them waiting for a bobcat. Unfortunately the only bobcat snuck in behind us to within 10 yards and we never even knew he was there. When we got up to leave we noticed his tracks. Bill did make a great shot on a coyote on the last set-up. We had a great time and I look forward to seeing him again.

Feb. 14th & 15th 2004 Justin took Arron Light from Banks OR. on a bobcat Hunt. We found some bobcat tracks and tried several setups, but unfortunitly were unable to call up a cat. The conditions for calling were great. We found where a deer had been killed the night before and I believe all of the predators had already had breakfast. The night Arron arrived he spent some time shooting rabbits, with the snow still on the ground the Jacks are realy concentrated around the hay stacks. We must have seen over a thousand jacks that night. We had a great time and Arron was able to get a coyote. It's time to realy start thinking about that spring ground squirrel shoot, they are already out on the snow. There are still openings, but we are booking between 3-5 days per/day. So don't put it off much longer, get your days lined out quick. See some of you at the Sportsmen Show in Redmond, March 4-7 at the Deschutes County Fair grounds (we're doing seminars every day, so stop by).
