May21st: Gregg and Gene Kremer finished off their 4-day trip with another day on the lake. The weather was severe with the temperature dropping and snow falling in the area, but they still caught about 40+ fish in the morning. With Gene getting a nice 17 1/2" largemouth, they left for the Seattle area.
May 20th: Skip Geer took the Kremer brothers on the river for a full day of fishing. They boated 112 smallies, with the biggest ones being in the 14"-15" range. They caught almost all their smallies on 3" grubs with the new Smelly Jelly Bass Feast liquid. Boy does it work.
May 19th: Gene and Gregg Kremer fished on the private largemouth lake and caught some nice fish in the 18" range (3 - 3 1/2 pound). They caught them on top water jerk baits, grubs, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits all covered with Smelly Jelly BAss Feast.

April30: Pete Engle and Doug Green went out tothe Private Largemouth Lake. The weather was giving us nothing but high winds and made fishing tough. They caught 25 fish with Pete getting a very nice 19" X 13 1/2" Largemouth. Plastics seemed to be the tool of the day.
May 5th: The group from Hoffman Construction came back to test themselves and the John Day River. The river was flowing 3690, clearing up about a two on the clarity scale and got cleaner during the day, sky was heavy overcast, water was 52 degrees, and fishing start slow. Jeff Stewart, "first fish" Mick Mackay, Matt Steele (541-388-1192) whom caught a very nice 20 1/2" X 13 " smallie, boated about 35 fish. Half the fish came on 3" grubs and half came on crankbaits (the wind came up in the afternoon and made fishing the grubs tough). Both baits were soaked in Smelly jelly Craw/Anise.
May 4th: We had a great day on the water with Midge Geer (J & M Embordiery, 541-763-2386 they do great work-embrodered hats for as low as $6 on a three dozen order), daughter Jo Stiles, and friend Barbara Kilian. We tan into 4130 CFS with some silt in it which dropped the clarity to a four, 53 degree water, and a clear bright day. The gals boated about 25 fish, with most of the fish coming on grubs coated with Smelly Jelly Craw/Anise.
May 3rd: Fished with Chuck Gebhardt of Auburn, Wa. and his dad, Don, of Aurora, Colorado. The water was running about 3940 CFS, clarity of two, 53 degree water, and a bright clear day. Chuck caught 25 smallies with 17". couple of 16", and lots of 14" and 15", he fished the grubs abosolutely perfect and probably didn't miss any fish (Chuck's fourth year with us), and Don did Okay with 15 fish. The 3" grubs with Smelly jelly were really working.
May 2nd: The NW Natural Gas Co. with Doug Dunford, and friends Alan Puderbaugh, Charles Mackdanz, and Brance Wilson. They caught about 50 fish with Doug catching 35 of the fish (Doug has fished with us twice before). Doug was the master of the grubs and slow fishing, and it paid off.
