They're Here!!! The Fall Kings everybody in the world waits for every year are coming in now and it'll only get better! I fished the coast all week and here are some pictures of fish that we caught. The fishing isn't great yet but it's really consistent. We have hooked way more fish than we have boated lately but I guess that's just fishing....Its only going to get better in the next month...I still have days open so give me a call... Good Fishing Brent   Fishing Report 8-12-2006 Here is Dan with a fall salmon we caught over on the coast today. This was the only adult fish we found but we also caught four jacks so it looks like it is going to be a good season. I still have some days open for the fall bay fishery so if you are interested just give me a call. Good Fishing, Brent Fishing Report 8-12-2006 Sorry for the long delay in reports but I have been doing a lot of Bass trips the last couple of months and I haven't been taking many pictures...The smallmouth fishing is still very good except for the growing amount of moss that is around. I did get to do some summer steelheading this last week on the North Umpqua. Here is Dwane with the one we got to keep. We ended up hooking 5 fish and landing two of them and one was a native and this hatchery fish. I will be starting fall salmon trips in the bay shortly and the steelhead fishing is going to hold out until the end of Oct. Good Fishing!!!! Fishing Report 6-15-2006 Bass are on the move!!! The water has started to drop and the bass are starting to bite. I have been running bass and shad combo trips for the last couple of weeks and the fishing is great. I have been catching a couple of big bass about everyday and with the slow salmon fishing it is a good change...We should start seeing some summer steelhead soon but the bass fishing will only get better from here until the end of summer...I have some days still open for smallmouth so give me a jingle.... So I guess it is shad season. I spent the day down on the lower Umpqua and the shad fishing was pretty good and the smallmouth were a little slow to bite. I blame it on the weather front that is sitting on us right now.. I will be fishing some shad and salmon and of course bass in the next few months and I will try to keep up on the reports....Good fishing!!!!   Fishing Report 5-2-2006 I was down on the lower Umpqua today with a couple of buddies and if you can believe it we finally landed more than one today. The spring salmon fishing is slow but there are some around if you are willing to put your time in down there...     Fishing Report 5-2-2006 I caught another one!!!! We fished on the lower Umpqua today and we caught one of the two that I heard of today... Its not great fishing right now on the lower river but its still fishing... There is always a chance to catch a fish if you have your worm in the water....I will be back at it on Thursday and hopefully it will be a picture of more than one fish! Fishing Report 4-27-2006 Its salmon time!!! We fished today and it seems like its one bite a day and if it goes right that means one in the boat!!!!! Here is Chad with the salmon we caught today... I will report again when I get out there.... Fishing Report 5-1-2006 Here is a picture of the last upriver fish that my customers caught this winter so I thought I would send it. I would like to thank all of you who fished this winter and I want to let you all know how much I appreciate the business and hope you had as good of a time as I did. I am really hoping to see you all again this coming winter and maybe this summer or fall. I am going to start playing around with some spring salmon and I will send reports only when I get out there. Fishing Report 4-18-2006 Here is the first spring salmon put into my powerboat this spring. I had another on the evening before but it was almost totally dark so we had no idea where it was and it broke us off. The salmon fishing is starting to pick up. I have lots of room open for this fishery and if you haven't caught or eaten one of these fish then you are really missing some great eating. If you are interested in a trip for salmon or the upcoming shad and bass fishing GIVE ME A CALL !!!!!!!! Fishing Report 4-5-2006 I had a two boat trip booked with another guide yesterday but the trip didn't work out but today I was back with DJ and Poppa. We fished the Umpqua and it was red hot this morning but we didn't land many. We ended up landing four fish two of those were spawned out and two upriver hatchery fish. The fish are still coming I also saw some other fishermen catch some really nice ones. I am off tomorrow and I will report back this weekend....       Fishing Report 4-3-2006 It was a happy spring break for these boys and wouldn't you know it they were both named Zack. We fished the Umpqua today and the fishing was very good for this time of year. Both of the boys were great to fish and very courteous. Thank you Connie for the call and I hope to see these two again next year. By the way I was standing flat footed with both these boys and they are only fifteen. www.helloNBA.com     Fishing Report 4-1 Well we gave it a try today for a while and things just didn't seem good. I am sure it was because I was in the front of the boat. We had one bite for sure and yours truly missed it. I have always known that I am a way better teacher than student. I have tomorrow off and I will more than likely fish close to home on Monday....   Fishing Report 3-31 Ron and Jason were back with me today over on the coast and the fishing is still ok. It is for sure not as good as it was earlier for the water height and the color. I know its getting late in the year but I just don't want to let it go!! Tomorrow we are going to pretty much fun fish as Ron is going to row me down the river in the morning (this guiding thing is a tough job) I will report what we do but it seems to me the coastal thing is coming to a quick end...   Fishing Report 3-30-2006 I was back over at the coast today with my two new victims Ron and Jayson. We did pretty well, it seems like there are still some good fish around and hopefully it will keep it up...I am back with these two tomorrow so we will see what happens. We are probably going to fish the same area tomorrow. Fishing Report 3-29-2006 I was over at the coast today with Mike and Brent and the fishing was very good for this time of year. We pretty much caught fish all throughout the day and ended up keeping our limit of hatchery fish...I am back at it tomorrow and hopefully the fishing holds up.... Fishing Report 3-27 I fished over at the coast today with Leo and his son (don't want to hold up a fish) Leo. We had a great time and the fishing was great. I am slowing down on my winter trips so it might be a few days in between reports. I am trying to talk my way into a boat tomorrow so I can sit in the front seat for once.... Fishing Report 3-24 I fished the Umpqua system the last two days with Mark and Gunner and the fishing wasn't as good as expected. We caught some fish the first day but most of those we landed were spawned out. We did manage one fish that was on its way upriver. Usually this time of year with these water conditions the upper Umpqua is red hot. The second day was terrible we hooked two fish and landed them both with one being spawned out and the other was a good upriver hatchery fish. I have tomorrow off and will be back at it on Monday. Fishing Report 3-23 I spent the day over at the coast again with Dave and Greg. The fishing is still very good all but the wind, it blew hard all day. Hopefully the weather holds out and I can fish the same stretch tomorrow because it seems like there are a bunch of new fish just showing up... Fishing Report 3-22 Terry, Jim and I were back at it today and the fishing was super we finished pretty early so we could get home and cleaned up for dinner. I am actually going into town for a nice warm meal with those two and my lovely wife tonight. I am debating on what to do tomorrow but I guess you shouldn't leave fish to find fish....... Fishing Report 3-21 I fished with Jim and Terry from Cali today over on the coast and the fishing was very good. We let a lot of fish go and kept two for Terry to smoke. I am back at it with these two tomorrow also and we are going to go back to the same place. 3-20 Fishing Report I took Dell Grey and his son out today and right off the bat it was pretty much snowing on us.. We pulled over and did the stop snowing dance and it did!!( B.S. ) We had a great day on the water and we even stumbled into some fish. I think I am going to go over to the coast tomorrow and we will see what's over there!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. DELL GRAY AND THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!     3-19 Fishing Report I fished with Tod and Tanya today on the Umpqua, the weather was really nice and the fishing was good also. We kept two hatchery fish and let some natives go. P.S. LOTS OF BOATS ( It was the weekend ) Fishing Report 3-18 I fished the Umpqua today with Doug and Dave from Bend... We had one of those days that makes me realize why I still love to do this.. We caught 9 fish and kept their limit of 4 hatchery fish and the weather was great. Both of these guys were a blast to fish. The river is on the drop and its back to work tomorrow...   Fishing Report 3-17 I started out this morning heading to where we fished yesterday and it looked a little to high so we went to another place and tried to fish there for an hour or so but the river was really coming up so we called it quits...I just talked to one of my guide buddies and he did pretty well the same place we fished yesterday. I guess the river started to level out and drop in the afternoon...I should have put in and just waited the raising river out but who knew!!!   Fishing Report 3-16 I fished the Umpqua today with Ron and Eric and we had a great day of fishing even though the weather this morning was terrible. We ended up keeping three hatchery fish and we landed 9 ( I believe ) I am back with these two tomorrow and we will see if the water holds out!   Fishing Report 3-15 I fished the Umpqua today with Rod and his brother Randy and we had a great day of fishing. Both of these guys can fish really well. It was a real pleasure fishing with the two of them today and we also caught a few fish...We ended up hooking 12 and landed 9 of them with a mix of wild and hatchery fish. It is always good to see those big fish with all of their fins still attached now of days. I am back at it tomorrow and I am going to fish very close to where we were today and I will report then... Fishing Report 3-13 I fished the Umpqua today with Mike and Mike and the fishing could have been better. We hooked four fish but some of them not for very long. I know that there are lots of fish to come but with the water conditions I am not sure why we didn't do better but it just didn't seem that fishy today. We managed to catch one old spawned out fish and I am sure the rest were upriver fish so I guess you can just say that we left some for seed...My trip for tomorrow cancelled but I will be back on the water on Wednesday and everyday after for a while so I will try to keep up on the reports...Until then good fishing!!!! Brent Fishing Report 3-9 thru 3-12 Well as you can tell I didn't fish the last three days because of the weather. I guess looking back at it I could have found somewhere to fish but oh well...I had actually planned to have this Sunday off but looking back on it I should have booked it also. I am back at it on Monday and I will report then...Good Fishing, Brent Fishing Report3-8 I fished the Umpqua today with Josh and Randy.. The fishing was ok even though it rained ALL day long. We ended up with two really nice winter fish and a few spawned out summers. I would have taken some pictures but I figured it wasn't worth the cost of a new digital camera.. I am supposed to be out the next few days but with the rain we will see what happens. Good fishing, Brent Fishing Report 3-7-2006 Here are Danny and Poppa with their catch from the Umpqua today... We got two and lost one all before 1:00 before the rain came and we called it quits....I will be fishing tomorrow and I will get back then!!!!   Fishing Report 3-6-2006 Rich and Mark from Bend fished with me today on the Umpqua and the fishing could have been better we caught some fish but it wasn't anything like I thought it would be with the caliber of fishermen I had in the boat today...I hope they will give it another go as the rest of the boats today didn't do very good either... I am back at it tomorrow and I will report then.. Fishing Report 3-4-2006 Here are Carl and Billy with me today on the Umpqua and fishing was pretty good. Today is their last day and hopefully they will invite me up for fish taco's since it seems I always smell like fish but I never get to bring one home...I have tomorrow off but I will report back on Monday.... Fishing Report 3-6-2006 Here are Carl and Bill with their catch today on the Umpqua....We had a great day and the weather was good until this afternoon. We will be back at it tomorrow and I will report as soon as we get off the water. Fishing Report 2-28 to 3-2-2006 As you can see from the lack of pictures I haven't been fishing the last couple of days because of the high and muddy water. I am digging around for a river to fish tomorrow at the moment. I will hopefully be out there somewhere tomorrow and I will report then...Don't forget that shad fishing is right around the corner and you fly fishermen will love it if you have never tried it ...I will report back tomorrow...Good Fishing   Fishing Report 2-27-2006 Here are Paul and Ron with some of the fish they caught with me today on the Umpqua. The fishing is still really good right now but we spent the day in the rain and I am not to sure what this storm is going to do to the river levels. I am going to try to fish tomorrow if there are any rivers left fishable. I will report then...Good Fishing!!!! Fishing Report 2-26-2006 Mike and Dave were back at it again and after a slow start this morning they finally started getting it right today again on the Umpqua. We got away this evening without getting rained on so all is good...Why wouldn't I !!! Its an inside joke!! I will be back at it tomorrow and will report then. Fishing Report 2-25 Today I had Mike and his dad Dave down on the Umpqua. What a beautiful day on the water except all of the weekend traffic...We did find some places to fish and also caught a few....Here are a couple of pictures from today.. It seems like the main batch of fish are still to come so call today because I still have a few good dates left open in march... Brent Fishing Report 2-23/24 I fished the last two days with the firefigther boys from down south and we ripped it up. We caught alot of fish the last two days on the Umpqua but it seemed where we were there were quite a few spawned out fish both summers and winter. This years winter fish loved January for not getting caught (believe me I have talked to a few) I will be back on the river tomorrow and I will report then.. Brent Fishing Report 2-22-2006 I spent the day with Gary and Dell on the Umpqua...We caught some fish but they were mostly spawned out..  We saw some upriver fish caught so they are still here...I am back at it tomorrow so I will report then...       Brent Fishing Report 2-21-2006 Here are Jeff and Doug with some of the fish caught today on the Umpqua it was very nice today not having everything frozen up and still not having any rain...The fish are still around and I will be on the water early tomorrow morning.... Brent Fishing Report 2-20-2006 Here are Jeff and Charlie with some of their fish today. We fished on the Umpqua system and there are fish around even though the water is FREEZING. I will be back on the water tomorrow and I will report back then.. Brent Fishing Report 2-18/19 2006 I fished the Umpqua for the last two days with Dan and his crew and the fishing wasn't bad we all caught fish each day and the weather was nice (after the ice was gone) I cant remember it ever being this cold for this long but as long as we get to keep fishing then its all good.... Brent Fishing Report 2-17-2006 Here's Shane with a beautiful native from the Umpqua today... The fishing was a little slower today but we still caught some fish...I am blaming it on the clear and very cold water...I will be back at it tomorrow and I will report then... Brent Fishing Report 2-16-2006 Here are Jim and Shane on the Umpqua today!!! the morning was super cold with frozen guides and really stiff fishing lines but as you can see we got it done...I feel sorry for these guys because they are stuck with me tomorrow...and its gonna be colder tomorrow morning....I still have a few days left open in March so please feel free to give me a call!!!! I will report back tomorrow with some more slime (hopefully). Fishing Report 2-15-2006 I have been fishing every day now and the fish are still around!! We fished the Umpqua today and here's a shot of one of the natives we let go. The weather is FREEZING COLD and most of the fish are coming in the afternoon...who says the early bird catches the worm... Fishing Report 2-13-2006 I fished with Don and Dave today on the Umpqua and the fishing wasn't bad. We hooked five and landed four and two of which were native so they are going to get fed...It started to get a little rainy at the end of the day so there isn't any pictures but they took some earlier in the day and if I am nice maybe they will send them to me and I can post them then....Don and Dave are stuck with me tomorrow and I will report as soon as I get home... Brent Fishing Report 2-12-2006 Today Cecil and Tony were with me back at the coast...We had a great day and the weather really helped...The water is getting a little low but the color is still very good...I am going to fish a little closer to home and a bigger river tomorrow.... Brent Fishing Report 2-11-2006 Here are today's victims!! I was back at the coast and the fishing was once again pretty good. It is tough to take when the weather is this nice and the fish are willing to bite...I am not sure but I think it is still February in Oregon..... Brent Fishing Report 2-10-2006 Here are Mile and Harvey from up north with our catch from today...let some beautiful native fish go and kept a few for the table.. We had a great time and the weather was terrific...I will be back at it again tomorrow and will give a report... Brent Fishing Report 2-9-2006 Rich and Jeff spent today with me over at the coast and the fishing was great we kept some and let some go. I was going to post all the pictures but there just isn't any room... I am back at it tomorrow and I am sure we will do just fine. Good fishing, Brent   Fishing Report 1-30-2006 Here is one of the two fish Tom and Dave caught today at the coast before the river blew out on us. I didn't get a picture of the other one because we wanted to get back in the water as fast as possible. It rained, hailed and the sun even came out for a very little time...I am hoping that the rivers will fall into shape quickly because it seems like there are a bunch of fish around if we can just get the rivers right....Good fishing!!!!! Here are DJ and Dan ( A.K.A.Coach ) with a limit of winter steelhead from the coast on 1/ 25/ 06. Mother nature finally gave us a break and the steelhead are here. I still have some days left open right now but space is filling fast. I will report back as soon as I get time. Good Fishing!!!!

Fishing Report 1-5-2006

Here is a picture of one of the days this fall on the Sixes River. It turned out to be a short run this year but it seemed that way all over the coast...Steelhead are in the rivers now and as soon as the water comes down due to our great winter rain it should be happening. I have some days open in January still and February and March are filling fast so don't hesitate if you want to try your luck this winter. I will be updating with pictures as soon as I get out on the water again....Brent

Hello all!!!!!!! The fishing for shad has been good to spotty but there is still some fish all the way down at Elkton as I have heard through the internet grapevine. I am totally repowering my sled boat this summer and giving it a brand new facelift along with that....Unless I can get my future wife to let me get a brand new boat we will see but I will keep you posted on that.... I am going to set my site up so I can give daily reports on the fishing when its happening and also so I can download pictures every night after I get off the water...we are also getting a brand new driftboat but its going to look exactly the same as the last one without the dents and egg goo on it!!!!! Come and help out the clearcoat with some fish slime... I am really looking forward to the fall Chinook season and maybe I can work out my coastguard license on the ocean this fall... I will try to keep up on reports and get my pictures from this winter and the early spring up so it actually looks like I have been fishing....tight lines and good luck !!!!!!!!

The fish are here even if the water isn't!! I have been fishing on the main Umpqua and we have been catching fish every day. Today we caught a 17lber biggest of the year in my boat so far but there is still lots of time. I will be fishing steelhead until around the 20th of april so if you have plans on wanting to fish then contact me asap as the days are really starting to fill.

The Fall salmon on the Umpqua and the Rogue are just about over I fished the Umpqua today and hooked four and landed two. The fish are starting to turn but I am not sure there are probably more fresh ones comming we will just have to see. I am starting to book for the Coquille and the Elk and Sixes. Its almost here!!!! The fall salmon are making their way up the rivers now and if we can get the water to cool a little then we will start catching them. The Umpqua is still very good for smallmouth I fished yesterday in the rain and the bass really didn't seem to mind it. I have some room left for salmon in the next few weeks and it sounds like its going to be a good fall run so feel free to give me a call and we will get it all set up.... Good Fishing,
