My Boats have been snowed in since Jan.5th.So I have been enjoying the time off tying flies and talking with clients and oh yes a little bank fishing. I realy enjoy banking it as I spend so much time on the boats the rest of the year.GOOD NEWS. I will start guiding Steelhead and Sturgeon trips next week.
Sturgeon fishing has been excellent and the keeper season above Wauna closes at the end of the month. If you want lots of action and a fish to take home call me now for a trip.Early Steelhead returns to the Wilson and other rivers on the coast have been better than anticipated. Eagle creek provided good action 2 days ago but has since slowed dramatically.Saturdays Oregon Fishing Club Steelhead Clinic was well attended. In a 2 hour on stream session 4 rookie anglers hooked 3 Steelhead and landed 1. If the wind will quit blowing the Sandy will be fair - good after the next rain event. Then on to the Clackamas for late Feburary and March Broodstock Steelhead.I hope to be Fishing Springers in the Columbia in April.
