Broodstock Winter Steelhead have finally entered the Sandy in Fishable numbers. Most are small 5-7 lbs but on a fly or noodle rod they are FUN.Low clear water means we are using 6 and 4 lb. leaders and out fishing most.Hot Tip- On dark days we use dark leader and on clear we use clear or blue leader. It seems to make all the difference.Spring Chinook Salmon are in the Portland Harbor in fishable numbers and I am in hot pursuit. These hatchery fish are raised to be caught and Killed. It is my duty to get them out of the Rivers so as to make room for the native Salmon & Steelhead.Crooked and Deschutes rivers are rising and fishing will be slow untill they stablize. Sturgeon fashing has been VERY GOOD on the outgoing tide. 20-40 fish per rod and everybody gets to take home a KEEPER.Have YOU made your reservation for this great FISHING ? Call 503-661-3474
